Here is Goldceo.
If you have just started playing Warhammer or are planning on making an account, then this is the portion you should read. This is a Talisman making guide to give you information on how to level fast, with the least amount of money and in the shortest amount of time. I have included some tips on how to make money as well.
First off, some myths and facts.
Myths-
1. You need both salvaging AND scavenging to level TM.
2. It is a money-sink.
3. You need appropriate level curios and essences to level your TM.
4. You can sell your TM’s for a profit (only the blue and better will sell for a profit).
5. Take scavenging for TM.
Facts-
1. You CAN level your TM (at least until level 115)using only the appropriate level fragments, and level 1 curios and essences. This has been proven over and again. See So1ldiers TM guide for proof.
2. You DO need salvaging to level TM
3. You CAN make a profit.
4. The white and green talismans don’t sell well, the blue and better ones do.
The most effective way to skill-up your salvaging is by buying the cheapest GREEN renown gear and salvaging those. If you need money, farm public quests for greens, but DON’t salvage them, sell them on the AH and use that money to buy renown gear instead. Trust me, the greens are too few and far between to level up with the greens you find.
As Destruction you can salvage the Of the Vengeance Gloves(exist for all destro classes) for 9S 60 a piece. This is the Rank 7 RR4 glove which will give you level 1 fragments. Use these fragments and the vendor stuff to get to level 25. According to So1dier’s TM guide, you should need about 35 attempts to reach level 25 if you are unlucky.
Estimated Cost to reach level 25:
35 Fragments x 9S60 = 3G 36S
35 Essences x 2S = 70S
35 Curios x 20B = 7S
35 Gold Cores x 20B = 7S
--------------------------------------------------------
At level 25, start salvaging the Tier 1 Of the Vengeance Breast piece (Rank 9 RR6). This piece exists for all classes of destruction, and each one has wounds on it. I am sure Order has a similar piece. When you salvage for wounds, this armor gives you a green fragment every time, and according to my tests, a blue one 10% of the time. And it almost always gives a fragment, and essences. Oddly enough, if you salvage for the class stat that comes with it, you get an ordinary white fragment. I am not sure what the salvage level has to do with this...but if someone could give feedback on that it would be appreciated.
Use these fragments to level to 50. It is that easy…
Estimated Cost:
35 Chewtop Breast Piece x 15S = 6G25S
35 Essences x 2S = 70S
35 Curios x 20B = 7S
35 Gold Cores x 20B = 7S
------------------------------------------------------------
Total = 7G 09S
Now, seems like a money sink so far eh? Well, the catch is, according to So1dier’s TM Guide, you don’t need essences at your level to level up. Every time you salvage something, you end up with essences. The level 1 essences can be bought at the vendor, and you can use the ones you salvage, but once you start making the level 25 ones, and since you don’t need them, you can sell them for a nice chunk of gold at the AH.
Those green fragments? It costs you less than 15S a piece to make them, and you can sell them on the AH for around 50S-1G+ per fragment depending on your server. If you can’t afford to power-buy them all at once, buy a few Renown pieces, salvage for wounds (green fragments) sell the fragments at the AH and then use the profits to buy even more.
When you get your blue fragment, try and use good curios if you got ‘em around and sell those blue TM’s at the AH. I get around 2-3G per blue Talisman for wounds and or ballistics. The sales from fragments, essences and blue talismans alone have made me hefty profits making and leveling TM. The next chapter 50-100 will follow soon.
